How we choose and check our guides

The market and Christmas visit

The Tenants’ Hall hosts a four-day seasonal food and gift fair with local artisans. The Mansion’s Around the World in 80 Days experience, garden trail and Father Christmas at the Farm use separate dates and bookings.

Separate market shopping from any house or trail booking. Use the official programme for individual opening days and the visitor information for the part of the estate your ticket covers.

How accommodation links work

A perfect day

  1. Before arrival

    Plan the full approach

Book parkland vehicle entry if driving, or allow for the journey from Knutsford station through the estate.

  2. Late morning

    Start at the Tenants’ Hall

Browse the local artisan stalls at the free-entry Gift Fair; parkland vehicle charges still apply.

  3. A break

    Pause in the Stableyard

Look at the current eating and shopping options before continuing your gift search.

  4. If you add the Mansion

    Use a separate booking

Around the World in 80 Days has its own selected dates and entry slots; the fair does not include it.

Practical information

Tickets and booking

Gift Fair admission is free; parkland vehicle entry applies. Pre-book parkland entry online for the advertised 10% saving. Mansion, farm and garden experiences are separate tickets.

Getting there and back

Follow signs from M6 junction 19 or M56 junction 7. The main car park serves the Mansion and Stableyard. Knutsford station is around half a mile from Knutsford Gate, then a further two miles through the estate to the Mansion area: allow for the whole journey, or arrange a taxi.

Accessibility

Blue Badge spaces and a passenger drop-off are available near the Stableyard; accessible toilets are in the Stableyard and at Knutsford Entrance. Flagged paths avoid cobbles around the Stableyard. Ask the team specifically about access to the Tenants’ Hall event before travelling.

On the day

Use the specific event’s arrival instructions and bring the ticket or parking confirmation it requires. Check weather, footwear and any bag restrictions. Ask the food operator about allergens and the property about facilities essential to your group.

Make it a weekend: Tatton Park and Knutsford

Plan prepared 24 October 2026; choose a published event date.

Day 1: the Christmas visit

Make Tatton Park Christmas Gift Fair the main outing. Choose the market, house or trail session from the venue’s dated programme, leaving time for arrival and a pause before an evening booking. Use the existing tickets and travel sections for the entrance and transport arrangements. Separate activities may need separate reservations.

Day 2: Knutsford

Leave the following morning for Knutsford before the journey home. Choose the town stop around your return route and the time available rather than adding another timed event by default. Confirm the opening hours of any place you want to enter; this plan does not add a new admission or transport-time claim.
